AAMRI gives evidence to Parliamentary inquiry into approval processes for new drugs and novel medical technologies

5th May, 2021

Earlier this year AAMRI made a submission to the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Health, Aged Care and Sport as part of their inquiry into approval process for new drugs and novel medical technologies.

AAMRI’s submission highlighted a number of areas where regulatory reform and new governance processes could help speed up the translation of discoveries into new treatments for patients.

Dr Jacqui Waterkeyn, an advisor to AAMRI on regulatory issues, represented AAMRI at the hearing and discussed the great opportunities for increased local onshore drug development.
