Consultation alert: MRFF Strategy and Priorities

Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Strategy & Priorities

The consultation for the next MRFF Strategy and Priorities opened today and will close on 11 October 2021. The strategy and priorities will inform how more than $3 billion of medical research funding should be invested over the next five years.

You can have your say on what the future Strategy and Priorities look like by responding to the Consultation Guidance Paper, prepared by AMRAB (available here). You can find out further information in an AMRAB webinar on 28 September, 1-2:30pm AEST.

AAMRI will be working with its medical research institutes to develop a submission to the consultation. You can contribute to AAMRI’s submission by either:

  1. Sending through any comments in response to the Consultation Guidance Paper to Dr Peter Thomas by Sept 30, 2021.
  2. Attending our online AAMRI submission workshop next week on either Monday 27, Wednesday 29 or Thursday 30 Sept at 2-3pm AEST. Multiple representatives are welcome.

AAMRI encourages medical research institutes, researchers and anyone with an interest in medical research to put forward their own submission. Given the breadth of members AAMRI represents we will be focusing on high level and structural issues and opportunities, rather than making the case for particular disciplines or disease areas which might be the focus of individual institute submissions.
